What is the wedding hair and makeup booking process?
We recommend booking your artist or team 6-12 months in advance to ensure availability on your special day.
Initial Inquiry: Start by filling out our Inquiry Form with all your details and questions.
Booking Deposit Quote: After reviewing your inquiry, we will send you a booking deposit quote.
Secure Your Date: Once you're ready, click on the quote to pay the deposit and secure your event date. Please note, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't delay in securing your spot.
Preview Session: The initial deposit will reserve your date until the Preview session. After the Preview, this deposit will cover the Preview services.
Contract and Retainer: If you're ready to move forward, a signed contract and a non-refundable 25% retainer fee will officially secure your wedding date and our team for your event.
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due one week before your wedding day, payable via cash, credit/debit card, Zelle, or Venmo.
Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, your booking is confirmed!
I’m not sure of my exact headcount at the moment. Can I still book now?
Absolutely! You can book now, and the final headcount isn't required until 6 months before your wedding. If you’re booking after that point, we’ll provide a short window for you to confirm your numbers.
When should I schedule my wedding hair and makeup trial?
For the best results, we recommend scheduling your trial 3-2 months before your wedding. This timeframe ensures your look is fresh in your mind and aligned with any final wedding details like hair accessories, jewelry, or flowers. Our artists want to ensure everything is perfect, so having your wedding details lined up will help us create your dream look.
What if I’m not sure I want to book without a trial first?
We totally understand! Check out our social media and reviews to see our work with real clients. At Beauty & the Beach, we pride ourselves on our versatility and our commitment to listening to your needs. We're confident that you’ll love what we can do for you!
Is a trial required to book your services?
While we highly recommend a trial to design and perfect your bridal look, we understand that it’s not always possible. If you decide not to do a trial, rest assured that we will still work closely with you to ensure everything goes smoothly on your big day.
What should I bring to my wedding hair and makeup trial?
Bring any inspiration pictures, your veil or hairpiece, clip-in extensions (if applicable), jewelry, and any questions you might have. It’s also helpful to wear a white or light-colored shirt to avoid color reflection. If you’re planning to have a spray tan for your wedding, consider having one done before your trial as well.
What accommodations are needed on-site on my wedding day for hair and makeup?
We’ll need a bit of table space, an outlet, and a chair per artist. Ideally, makeup artists prefer a barstool-height chair, and hairstylists need a standard-height chair. Natural light is great for makeup application, so a window nearby would be ideal but not necessary.
How should my party and I prepare for my wedding day?
Please ensure everyone has clean, 100% dry hair or one-day unwashed hair for the best styling results. Super curly hair can be blown out with a flat brush if we’re not using natural curls, but avoid flat ironing. Fresh cuts and color should be done about a week before, and any waxing should be completed at least two days beforehand. For makeup, clean faces with your regular skincare applied work best!
How long does hair and makeup typically take?
We typically allocate 45 minutes per person per service, including the bride. For larger parties, we may book additional artists to ensure everyone is ready on time.
Can you stay on-site for touch-ups or a second look on my wedding day?
Yes! We offer an hourly touch-up service based on your needs. Time starts when initial services are completed.
Where can I purchase clip-in extensions if needed?
We have some excellent recommendations! Just shoot us an email, and we’ll point you in the right direction.
